Shabbat Shaaaaaahhhhlom

No matter how tough the going gets, Shabbat is always just around the corner.

Shabbat

We offer Shabbat services nearly every week when school is in session (but check our calendar first!), with full Shabbat dinners at least twice a month and delightful kiddush treats the other weeks. Advanced registration is requested for security and logistics, and we always have vegetarian and gluten-free options. Four times a year we host Saturday morning Shabbat Labs. Interested in joining our davening team to help make the magic? Reach out to us and we’ll hook you up with the Jew Crew.

Student-driven services and holiday experiences unfold across the year. Count on UArizona Hillel for immersive High Holy Day services, plus celebrations, meaning making, and social justice options for Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Hanukkah, MLK Day, Tu B’Shvat, Purim, Passover, Yom Ha’Shoah, Yom Ha’Zikaron, Yom Ha’Atzmaut, and more. If we don’t have the experience you want, we invite you to come dream it up with us.

Need Time Off To Observe?

The Arizona Board of Regents policy states that "Administrators and faculty members are expected to reasonably accommodate individual religious practices. A refusal to accommodate is justified only when undue hardship would result from each available alternative of reasonable accommodation." If you have an issue, we recommend that you first speak with your professor, then to the department head, then if it can’t be resolved, contact the Hillel team.
