Jennifer Camano (she/her)
Interm Executive Director | Execdir@uahillel.org
UArizona Hillel Foundation is delighted to introduce our new Interim Executive Director to the Tucson community. Jennifer Camano has dedicated her professional career to championing nonprofits of all sizes and types in worthy pursuits of their missions. It’s what gets her out of bed each morning. And as a U of A alum (twice over!), she is thrilled to be able to give back to her alma mater by helping to build and grow vibrant Jewish life on our campus, and by supporting Jewish Wildcats and their families on all aspects of their college journeys. From her early career providing programs at The Writer’s Voice of the Duncan YMCA in Chicago, to building development programs and raising financial support for several local organizations, Jennifer brings a wealth of experience to the Interim Executive Directorship at UArizona Hillel Foundation. Her prior nonprofit roles include positions as director of development, executive director, and planned giving director. Her work has been instrumental in the creation and implementation of effective fundraising plans for nonprofit organizations, including grant writing, corporate partnerships, and individual gifts. Jennifer stewards relationships with creativity and authenticity for long-term mutual benefit. She enjoys building effective partnerships, expanding communication skills, and building replicable roadmaps that drive sustainable growth. Jennifer has a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Arizona and has completed a nonprofit leadership course with the Eller College of Management. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), completing the highly respected certification process and demonstrating proficiency in professional practice and a commitment to ethical fundraising. Jennifer has served on numerous boards of directors, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals and City Center for Collaborative Learning. In addition to her professional career, Jennifer volunteers with a variety of organizations and enjoys spending time with her dogs and daughters — not in that order! She is a dedicated yogi, an avid scuba diver, a nature-loving hiker and epicurean. She looks forward to meeting you!
