Shabbat and Holidays

Shabbat services are held at the UA Hillel every other Friday evening (depending on the calendar) when school is in session.
There are three student-led services to choose from: Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox and an alternative to prayer - Friday Night Chill, featuring a discussion on a hot Jewish topic.  Students who are interested in leading or organizing a service should contact the  staff.

A delicious kosher dinner follows Shabbat services.  Dinner is only $5 for students, $8 for community members.  A Shabbat Meal Card will save you money by paying $25 for a semester.  All payment methods are accepted, even the CatCard.  Advanced registration is requested so we can prepare enough food!

Buy your Shabbat Meal Card or RSVP here for any dinner.

Checkout the  Shabbat at Hillel page for complete details and a schedule of service dates and times.

Holiday commemorations at Hillel vary depending on when they fall during the year.  We do our best to accommodate all of our students, so please let us know if there is something missing!  When Hillel is not conducting an event, we will connect students to the community.
